Jeff Flowers on December 16, 2016 1 Comment Watch More Kegerator Videos on YouTube To set up your KC1000SS kegerator, please view the assembly video above or follow our instruction guide below. On average, it will take you approximately 10 minutes to fully assemble. If you have any questions, please leave us a comment down below or give us a call at 1-866-950-8710. Supplies You Will Need: Flat Head Screwdriver Phillips Head Screwdriver Wrench or Pliers 1. Power On Plug in the kegerator and ensure the power light is on. Set the thermostat using the (+) & (-) buttons to the desired temperature. We recommend 36° Fahrenheit. We do not recommend plugging any kegerator, specifically in this case the KC1000SS, into an extension cord. 2. Remove the Tower Plug Carefully, remove the tower plug located at the top of the unit. This can be done with by using a flat-head screwdriver. 3. Mount the Tower Place the black rubber tower gasket flat on the top of the cabinet and line up the pre-drilled holes. Next, you will need to locate the clear beer line and feed it through the opening at the top of the cabinet. Afterwards, you will place the tower on top of the unit and align the screw holes at the bottom of the tower to the pre-drilled holes located on the top of the cabinet. Once aligned, hold the bottom flange cover above the base of the tower. Secure the tower by attaching the four tower screws with your phillips-head screwdriver. Screw the handle onto the faucet. 4. Connect Regulator to CO2 Cylinder Before you start, make sure the CO2 cylinder is full and the valve is closed completely by turning the knob clockwise until it stops. Attach the CO2 regulator to the CO2 cylinder by screwing the hex nut onto the cylinder valve. Hand tighten the nut until it stops and then slightly tighten with a wrench or pliers. 5. Connect CO2 Tube to Regulator Make sure the CO2 regulator shut off valve is closed by checking that the lever is in the 9 o’clock position. Slide the metal hose clamp over the end of the CO2 tube and attach the hose to the bottom of the regulator. Secure the tube by sliding up the previously installed metal hose clamp all the way up to where the hose meets the regulator. Use a flat head screwdriver to tighten. If the hose is difficult to install, dip the end of the hose into some hot water for a minute to soften up the line and reinstall. 6. Attach CO2 Tube to Coupler Remove the rubber protective cap located on the side of the keg coupler. Do not remove or discard the gray check valve located on the side of the coupler. This part prevents liquid from going into the regulator and also provides a seal between the air line and coupler. Secure the hex nut at the end of the CO2 line to the side of the coupler. Use a wrench to tighten. 7. Connect Beer Line to Coupler Remove the rubber cap from the top of the coupler. Place the neoprene washer located under the rubber cap to the top of the coupler. Take the hex nut from the end of the beer line and screw it onto the top of the keg coupler so that the neoprene washer is between it. 8. Install Drip Tray Place the drip tray on the top of the kegerator, then enjoy! 9. Tap Keg & Enjoy! Finally, and probably the most important step in the entire process, is to tap your keg, pour yourself a glass and kick-back to enjoy.
